CULVER ACADEMY GOLF COURSE; CULVER, IN

An intense archeological exercise, the assignment at Culver Academy involves restoration of William Langford and Theodore Moreau’s authentic Midwestern masterpiece. With the original featuring entirely intact, Bobby Weed Golf Design has proposed an austere approach that gradually returns boldly contoured bunkers and expanded putting surfaces into play. The project also includes the construction of an all-weather practice academy that complements the Academy’s impressive athletic facilities.

GRANDFATHER GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB; LINVILLE, NC

Continuing the success of Linville Golf Club and Linville Ridge, Bobby Weed Golf Design has been engaged to oversee infrastructural improvements at neighboring Grandfather Golf and Country Club. With work continuing over two seasons, the replacement of original culvert pipes, tree removal, and installation of remedial drainage is being designed to ensure the Club’s place among America’s best.

SELVA MARINA COUNTRY CLUB; ATLANTIC BEACH, FL

This project is part of a new niche in golf: REPURPOSING. In an era where golf courses struggle to remain profitable and accommodate necessary capital improvements, REPURPOSING projects involve entitling alternative land-uses within existing golf course envelopes. The value provided by these new land uses is leveraged to fund comprehensive course upgrades. At Selva Marina, Bobby Weed Golf Design planned a 30-acre neo-traditional neighborhood adjacent to the clubhouse and obtained entitlements for 114 units. The revenue from residential sales will fund a new golf course, clubhouse, tennis facility, pools, parking and maintenance building.

LINKS AT LIVE OAK PRESERVE; INGLESIDE, TX

The flagship of a heavily amenitized master planned community, this highly anticipated course sits hard on the Gulf of Mexico just north of Corpus Christi. With windswept scrub oaks, sandy soil and ample property, the layout will provide an authentic golf experience with a Texan twist.  The community occupies almost 4,000 acres and includes a marina and wellness center.
